Susan Seaborn has offered to share the many options there are to bypass the mat and frame! We will all be painting on a surface that she calls boxes as she gives us a demonstration from her two day course called "Boxed Delights". The paintings on these gessoed panels are great fun!
Bring your watercolor supplies. The panels will be provided. You will go home with a sweet little painting that does not need a mat or frame! These Boxed Delights are show stoppers, great little money makers, and fabulous gifts for friends.

Susan Seaborn is a signature member of Red River Watercolor Society (RRWS). Susan credits RRWS for the many opportunities to learn and participate in art activities. She joined RRWS in 1995 and served as president, assistant director to the National Juried Watercolor Exhibition,
workshop chairman and other jobs helping with teaching, outdoor shows and meetings. Susan is presently serving RRWS as a board member, workshop chairman for both the national show and online event, as well as assisting with the plein air events.
Susan is passionate about wild washes of vibrant color in her paintings. She paints predominantly in watercolor, and enjoys the juxtaposition of opaques against transparent passages of color. Whether painting en plein air or in her studio, Susan paints fast yet deliberate to capture the
essence of what is in front of her or recalled from a memory. She strives
to push the limits of watercolor and welcomes drips, splatters, and blooms because they are a wonderful nuance of the medium.
She is a member of Arizona Plein Air Painters, Arizona Watercolor Association, Art of the Lakes, Nevada Watercolor Society, Outdoor Painters of Minnesota, and Red River Watercolor Society. She has been fortunate to participate in watercolor workshops from a variety of internationally known artists through RRWS, Nevada Watercolor Society, and Arizona Watercolor Association.
Susan teaches weekly watercolor classes in Arizona and two or three day workshops in ND and MN. Susan has been a nurse for over 45 years and just recently retired from teaching in the RN to BSN online program for MN State University Moorhead.
She has shown at numerous outdoor art events and shows over the past 30 years. Susan is represented by Bridgette’s Main Frame Gallery in Perham, MN and Underbrush Gallery in Fargo, ND. Susan’s work can also be viewed and purchased online through Fine Art America, susan-
