Watercolor Wax Batik
The processes, challenges and rewards of watercolor wax batik will be explained in an illustrated talk by Linda Renaud, former Dickinson resident and signature member of RRWS. Linda has painted exclusively in watercolor wax batik for 12 years. She feels this method combines the best of two worlds: the blended washes of watercolor and the hard-edged abstracted shapes created by the wax. This painting method also reinforces some of the critical elements of good paintings and the lessons learned can be transferred to any painting medium.
